Three.

August 7, 2012

Last weekend Ainsley turned three!  I can’t believe my little girl is getting so big.  Each birthday is met with a little sadness that she is getting older, but that sadness is immediately replaced by how grateful I am to have such a healthy, smart, independent little girl.  I know in life this one is definitely going to get what she wants.  And that makes me happy.

She is turning into such a girly girl.  She is very insistent about what she is going to be wearing each day and it generally has to have “ruffles”.  Her favorite game right now is hide and go seek or chase.  We spend endless hours just running around the house squealing and hiding.  She is also a very crafty little girl, loving her paper, glue, stickers, anything that she can stick on paper…she’s there.

It’s amazing to be a parent really.  You always have all these things that you want to teach your children.  Ways you want them to act, what you want them to say, who you want them to be.  I credit my daughter with teaching me all of those things in just three short years.  I look forward to many more!
