Day 1/2: Miami/Keys

May 24, 2010

We are back from our first family vacation and I must say, Ainsley and Tate are quite the little travelers.  They were perfect on the plane and very easy going, taking in all the sites.   The first day we flew to Miami early in the morning and arrived to our cruise at noon.  We spent the first day, relaxing and touring the ship.  The second day we were in Key West.  I had never been to the Keys and think our one day stay was long enough to see what I wanted.   We had somewhat of a rough start that day as Ainsley fell and cut her eye.  Yes, I almost had an instant meltdown when that occurred, but pulled it together.  It was a superficial abrasion, thank goodness.  She is determined to walk, so has been trying that out everywhere.  So I will assume she will be getting a few more bumps and bruises than she has been. 😦

Got my plane ticket!

Ainsley’s new BFF is her cousin Tate.  She LOVES him.  Poor guy.  He is such a good sport…and he might like her a little too!  😉

When we arrived in the Keys, Ainsley was not exactly thrilled as she had just bumped her head that morning and it was SWELTERING.  I mean HOT!!  She also didn’t sleep much the night before, infer as you wish from the picture below.

But a nap………..

And some water make it all better!

Then to the kiddie pool, courtesy of Aunt Anna!  Ainsley and Tate both LOVE the water.  She has always liked her baths, but loved the pool and the ocean.

Tomorrow we are off to the Bahamas!!
