You’ll shoot your eye out.

March 16, 2009

Or in my case, poke it out with a crocheting needle.  Or whatever they are called.  A couple posts back I posted that I am trying my had at crocheting.  I have decided that maybe I am better served just sewing.  For whatever unexplainable reason, I do not find crocheting therapeutic.  Unlike sewing, where I equivocate it to a natural benzo.  I think it has to do with the fact that merely by pulling the yarn too tight, you can totally jack up the whole row.  Then you have to take it out and redo it.  I just can’t handle the repetitive nature.  It bothers me.  I don’t need a Groundhog Day type hobby.  But in all the drama, I did happen to finish a baby blanket before biting my nails to the quick.  I admire it often, knowing that it will probably be my last.

Is it really finished???

Is it really finished???

It really is done!!!

It really is done!!!

NEVER AGAIN!

NEVER AGAIN!

That is hilarious!!! The blanket looks awesome. I’m glad that you enjoy sewing better because Eli loves his quilt…he tries eating it while he is trying to fall asleep.

You are hilarious with the crochet needle… please don’t poke your eye out with it…you’ll need them later (your eyes and the needle)…I know these things!

You did a great job. Don’t give up on it. It only gets easier with practice. DON’T GIVE UP…you got talent girlfriend!
