Escape to ….Branson?

March 8, 2009

We have been busy as usual here at the Camp.  Moving, working, adopting, I have covered it all in the past week.  I was in training for work all last week from 7am to 6pm daily, M-Th.  No one should have to endure that much learning over the age of like…..25.  At least that is my thought.  One major reason I will probably never see the inside of a classroom again.  After passing the course, with the grand finale being a four hour test, I raced home just in time to try to make it to the Secretary of State to get my documents apostilled.  Only to find…..I HAVE LOST ONE OF MY DOCUMENTS.  Don’t you know that sent me over the edge.  I have been holding on to these precious slices of tree for about 6 months….AND I LOST IT.   I then decided to do what every woman does, instead of having a nervous breakdown…I ate chocolate and took a nap.  It did the trick.  Needless to say I have not found the papers I have been looking for, so it is back to the drawing board.  We will be lucky to have this adoption completed by the time I am 35 and I am not kidding.  I have to take a step back and not think about it, or I will go insane.  After the week of madness, I needed a break.  Luckily we had some good friends come down this weekend and we were able to shop a little and eat a little in Branson.  We actually attended a show, Spirit of the Dance.  It was okay.  I feel it is one of the better options in Honkey Tonk USA, especially since I am not a huge honkey toker.  Okay….not a honkey tonker at all.  I will admit, it was nice to take the day away from what seems to be the tornado of craziness that is our life.   But things are looking up.  We are slowly but surely moving into the duplex and we should have some resolution on our house in the next month.  Ahhh, resolution….music to my ears!
