Houston, we have lift off!

February 3, 2009

It’s official.  We have our loan, we have everyone set up.  We are all systems go on the new compound.  Praise God, and I have never been more serious.  We have a meeting of the minds Sunday at 2pm at the scene of the crime to discuss house, driveway, & meter placement.  Then the big dig is on Thursday, which it is supposed to rain up to Tuesday.  We did get some interesting news though, our contractor said he thought it would take 6 months, instead of 3-4 to complete our house.  I guess that was an estimate before he found out we wanted a basement and given the fact that we are going into spring, I am sure the weather will have some hindrance on the situation.  But I will not cower in fear of the weather!!  I will merely become more efficient in ordering our materials and being ready when called upon.  Seriously,  I am kicking my efficiency into high gear.  Mooowahahaha!  In other areas of my life, like….adoption….we should expect some news in the coming months.  Like this month or next month.  At this time, we are undecided on what road we will take, I have a feeling that decision will be made for us.  We just keep praying for God’s direction and ride the donkey until it falls off the trail.  I will post pictures (hopefully with my new camera), as I feel my posts have been somewhat lackluster lately, but that is all about to change….

Sounds like fun! We are moving back to the farm in the next few months. We’re adding onto the guest house. I have been hating the decision making…
