Somewhere in Deliverance….

January 9, 2009

the banjos are still playing very loudly.  You heard me right.  I had a whirlwind trip through Arkansas this week, where I even visited Paris.  While I was on my Tour de Ark, I was exposed to many things that I would have never seen coming.  Mainly the lobby of this Hampton Inn where I stayed on Tuesday night.

EEEEGATS!!!!  I was sure the candy man was coming for me in my sleep.  We then made the trek to Mt. Magazine State Park for a conference.  It was actually a very nice place.  Very peaceful….translating into….one restaurant….bad food.  But very beautiful views with a very nice lodge.

Hopefully you have a moment or two for dinner, because it will take you about 2 hours to get your food.  Other than that it was very nice trip.  Arkansas is truly a very beautiful state, but notice I did not say populated.  I guess that is why they call it the Natural State.  When I returned home on Thursday, I crashed.  It felt so good to be home.  Still no news on the house.  We have an open house this weekend, so hopefully that will generate some interest!!!!

OMG!! You described the hotel to me, but I would have NEVER imagined such a hideous place! I can’t believe you stayed there! TOO FUNNY!
