Weekend Wrap Up!

December 14, 2008

Things have been heinously insane here at the homestead since arriving home from Orlando.  They have shown our house a couple more times…once Wednesday, Saturday, & Sunday.  Hopefully with all this traffic, someone will like it.  If  their holidays are any indication like ours, it would we super hard to juggle buying a house and Christmas.  I would lose my mind.  I finally started our Christmas shopping on Saturday, luckily I am making some progress.  I am not finished, but I never am.  I am always the last minute shopper.  Why change a good thing?  After having lunch with friends from church, I made my way over to Barnes and Noble to try to look at house plans.  Unfortunately, they are all starting to look the same.  I think I am just going to have to pick and go with it.  I then made my way to the supermarket because I was out of food and whadda you know…there is supposed to be an ice storm coming this way (which I am sure won’t progress) and everyone was needing food.  I didn’t need food for hoarding.  I just had no food in the house.  Great timing!!!!  I did manage to try to start sewing my quilt this weekend, but that ended abruptly when I had a disagreement with the sewing machine.  Luckily we have sought intervention (my husband) and our relationship has been repaired.  So maybe I will get something accomplished with it this week.  Let us hope!

Yeah, on Saturday I had no food. I had to break my two hard rules in life:

    1. Never go to Wal-Mart on Saturday.
    2. Never go to Wal-Mart before an ice storm.

I mean, I lived to tell the tale, but just barely. *Shudder*
