Weekend Wrap Up!

November 16, 2008

This was a very short weekend.  I arrived home from AZ on Saturday, proceeded to stare at the TV for the next 5 hours, then went to bed.  I know it is bad to melt your brain to mush with cable, but only having 2 hours of sleep the night before limited my cognitive functioning.  It was one of those situations where you are so tired, you are past the point of being able to fall asleep and are walking around like a drone.  We went to church this morning, went to lunch with John & Melissa, went shopping for my husband, THEN….my fave part of Sunday afternoon…a nap!  I know that there won’t be many of those to be had once we have a child, so I am letting myself have my nap, kind of like a two year old!!  I love it!  We then proceeded to clean the house…again.  I am leaving for Illinois tomorrow and it is on Realtors tour on Tuesday, so things must be cleaned again, by the time I leave tomorrow.   We did actually have someone look at the house about 24 hours after it went on the market, so we shall see……start praying people!!!  I can’t live this clean forever! 🙂

I think we should have a standing lunch plan for every time you are in church until you move. I have to get in as much as possible before it is too late!!!

Just wait for the unthinkable.. when someone stops by and you, for some reason, weren’t expecting them. I am very much a perfectionist. So when we were selling our house, there was one Saturday afternoon when a realtor called 30 minutes before, we didn’t hear the phone go off, and she didn’t leave a message. The house was a bit messy and we were relaxing watching a movie. Suddenly the front door opened and…. I was mortified!! IF that happens, know you are NOT alone.

That almost happened the first time we showed the house. I could totally see that happening to me. Thanks so much for the funny story! It definately makes me feel not so alone!
