Never a dull moment…

November 4, 2008

What an exciting/exhausting week so far!  We met with our first realtor and we got to vote!!  I love to vote.  This is my 3rd election that I have voted in and I must say I feel proud to be an American.  Our voting was changed up a little this year.  Three voting precincts were voting all in once place.  We had a very large turnout, which is great.  It makes me happy that people taking their right to vote seriously.  It is not something that should be taken for granted.  In other news, we met with our first out of three realtors today.  It was definitely an experience.  She had very sensible advice, but am going to reserve all decisions until we meet with the other two tomorrow.  Maybe I will just get a wild hair and sell it myself.   It wouldn’t surprise me–I have been known to do crazier.  Well I must go.  I certainly can’t miss the modern day Robin Hood having his million dollar celebration in Grant Park so he can take my money and “spread the wealth”.  Maybe he should scale back on his large, lovely parties, give more to charity than less than 5% yearly salary, not wage one of the most expensive presidential campaigns in history and start “spreading his wealth”.  Ciao bella!

Tell me about it! I had to fight the million people to make it home from work tonight on the El! Every person on the train tonight, except all the secret service and police and dogs at each el stop, had an Obama shirt, pin, etc on! Except me, fighting the crowds to get home from my job where I earned money, that will get redistributed to everyone I saw on the El! Wake me when it is over!!
