Green Acres is the Place for Me….I hope.

October 29, 2008

You guessed it.  We are moving.  To the farm.  Lovely.  Jeremiah has accepted a position with a local hospital, so now I make the sacrifice for my husband.  I am moving to a smallish town.  Luckily it is only 1.5 hours from where we live now, so it’s within easy driving distance, which is probably the only thing that will keep me sane.  I will be making that trip VERY often.  We have known about this possibility for a while, and have been praying on what decision we should make.  Ultimately, the position my husband was offered was too good to turn down.  We have always been the type of people that think, if is meant to be it will be.  So far that has been a good method for us, and our decisions usually work out for the best.  I am keeping that in the back of my mind during this whole process AND it will not be a sudden transition.  Since we will still live relatively close, we will be back and forth until our house is sold.  While I am sad to leave where we live now, I am excited to start the next chapter in our lives.  We all know what that translates to!!….NEW HOUSE!  We have lived in this house since 2004.  While it will be sad to leave it as it is our first/starter house, life is about change, and it is just a house.  The memories are what make/made it special!  To the best of our knowledge, it will not affect our adoption, but it more than likely will affect my sanity. 😉  We have already started the cleaning out/throwing out binge and purge process.  While it is a ton of work, it is somewhat therapeutic.  I LOVE to throw things away.  I am a purger.  My husband, used to be a hoarder, but he has come over to my side of the fence and is now a purger.  If there are any moving words of wisdom out there, please feel free to chime in.  Ralph is also getting in on the moving action–he is affecting my sanity also!

Congatulations on the new job. Look at the move as something to keep you occupied while you wait. You’ll have far less time to dwell on adoption related stuff!

Say what?! I was so confused, as I read the second post about you moving before I read this one. This is definitely an exciting chapter in your life, and also what a great place to raise your daughter. I know a few people who will miss you terribly, though!
