Weekend reflection

August 3, 2008

We had a very relaxing weekend here at the homestead.  When August comes, we grab our remaining moments of sanity before the pumpkin blitz hits.  On Saturday we went to a wedding of Jeremiah’s friend from high school, which was very nice.  On Sunday we went to church, had lunch with our good friends, then my favorite Sunday afternoon past time-we took a nap.  I really need to tie up some loose ends with our vacation, but at this point I am just banking on that it will work itself out.  The upcoming week has the potential to be very exciting!  We will be traveling to KC to file our home study with CIS on Thursday, hallelujah for that.  I am ready to be done with that part of our adoption-only 4 months later.  But it is all good!  I am slowly learning to let things go that I have no control over, a huge step for me.  I am also super stoked that the Olympics start this Friday.  I love watching the Olympics!  I can’t decide which are my favorite-summer or winter.  Probably whichever are on the Telle at the time!  I leave you with some more pics from the patch.  We hope to see you there!

Do you have a trebuchet at the pumpkin patch? Will I see the cast of “Little People, Big World” there?!

Wave when you drive by on your way to KC!
