Siblings

July 3, 2008

I have been contemplating the question “How many kids are we going to have?”.  In truth, I struggle to find the answer.  Some days I want one, some days two, most days 3, when I am feeling super crazy/neurotic/invincible-four.  Now for those of you who know me, you have probably fallen off your seat by this point.  My old standby quote was “I will have one child at some point in my life”.   I am surprised my husband married me based on that statement.  So what changes?  Do you get more nostalgic the older you get, closer to your family & friends, or is the deterioration of the human brain secondary to ageing affecting my judgement-you know I did just turn 30.  Luckily, I have a while to ponder this question.  I am hoping that God will make these decisions for me.  I am all about divine intervention.  I really don’t feel that you ever know the right answer, you just go with it.  All I know, is that I am happy to have my brother.

I am sure that God will make the decision for you, and you’ll love it!! I think that the brain most definitely does go through a change at your “time in life” (do you like how that makes you sound like you’re in menopause?) and also, being around lots of other people with kids. It changes your perspective!

Oh my gosh…I have not been checking your blog but thought to check it tonight before bed. You are going strong…this must be very cathartic (SP??). Since I seem to talk to you everyday I know all the stuff first hand…but it’s nice to see the little details behind the scene too. I am shocked about the number of kids…does not sound like you at all…sounds so maternal of you…I think you’ll end up having 5!!!! Just kidding. I’m happy with my 2 but I’m much older than you…approaching 40 soon here! You still have time. I don’t think I could do it…I’m tired!

Have a great 4th of July Holiday and I’ll talk to you on Monday…I’m sure!

    Great JOB!
