Vacation rule number 1.

There are a number of vacation rules that I abide by, this one in particular is one I try remember every time we go.  You know how you go to those cheese ball tourist attractions and they make you take those cheesy photos to make money commemorate your trip…well most of the time, I buy those.  Not because I think they are great, not because my vacation won’t be complete if I don’t, but mostly because they are hilarious.  They bring me hours of laughter years later.  They are never good and always humiliating.  One of my favorites is from Edinburgh, Scotland.  My husband is Scottish and when were are there he was running a muck in the motherland.  Haggis this, Clan Gunn that…it was out of control.  The pinnacle of the trip is when he wanted to have us dress up like a Scots’ man…and woman.  I would only agree on one condition….he had to wear a skirt.  I was sure this would eliminate the proposition that this try anything once girl was not too keen on.  Wildly enough, he agreed.  So below is the result.  I am happy I forged ahead, because this photo is truly hilarious.  I hope to keep it as the centerpiece of our 50 year wedding anniversary celebration…..good stuff!
