Hot Child in the City.

I made it home from Hot-Lanta and boy was it sizzling!  I had never spent any significant amount of time in Atlanta, and truthfully, didn’t understand the obsession.  Okay, I get it now.  It is SOOO nice there.  We stayed downtown in the Buckhead area, with lovely southern estates and even lovelier shopping.  Who is the hot child you ask?  Not me!  Although we stayed in a great hotel, I sometimes am plagued by not being able to sleep when I travel for business.  This would be one of these times.  So I looked like a deathly mummy among trendy peeps.  I have accepted my fate and am okay with it. :)   After all, I am from the midwest.

On the good news front, which I am starting to like, our house passed inspection with only minor repairs (so they tell us), which we have agreed to fix.  Our buyer signed off on the inspection and so did we, so if all goes well 5.21 is our day.   After closing, Lord willing, I am going to celebrate!!  We haven’t decided how or when, but it will be so great to have our previous house sold….yet what to do with all our stuff.  Sigh.  No complaints here, it is a good problem to have.  I sometimes get a little sentimental as that is the first house that we bought as a married couple, but the house we are building now will be filled with memories also.  Possibly better memories, but I must admit, the first six years of our marriage were beyond my expectations, so here is hoping the next six we be just as good!

Wish I had known you were in town last week! We could have met up for coffee or a drink one day! If you get back this way, please let me know. And I’m posting an update today with pics…so check in later!

    Plus congrats on the house!
